Doing Something

Today I decided that I wanted to actually get out and help someone else instead of sitting here and wallowing in my grief. So I called a nursing home and asked if I could volunteer a couple of days a week. I have an appointment to verify that I have my guardians permission, and then I should be set. I want to get out and help people very much...and I think this is a good start. I remember when I was little while my mother was home-schooling me my little brother and I would go up to the local nursing home and read to the residents who couldn't see that good, play bingo with them, and basically talk to them. I have a strong connection with people, and I want to recapture that feeling, and hope that I'm doing some good in the meantime. I think it would benefit me as well as the people in the nursing home.

Steve...is here. He is downstairs watching television with my family. I came to a conclusion today. He really does love me. And that makes me unbelievably happy.
